Here are some pics from the Illinois Record Jump in '99. Tom and I kind of came up with the same idea to put this together since he had just turned 40...it's nice to be young...I was 43 when I started jumping :)
I know that there aren't many in the group, but it was just a pickup effort over one weekend with whoever was a POPS member and wanted to participate. It was a hazy, crappy day so the photo didn't turn out very sharp.

Since I was the worst flyer of the lot, I was the base. One ring started on the left hand and ended on the right and the other ring started on the left leg and ended on the right. I'm glad the others could fly good...I didn't want to be missing any body parts at the end of the jump. The range of jumps was about 150 for me to 5000 for Max.
We had enough to get the national night jump record, but being old shit's, the rest of the group thought it was too cold.
